Sezzle provides you with a payment option where you can buy now, and pay later.

When you place an order using Sezzle, their unique approvals system reviews your account to see what sort of repayment plan they can offer. In many cases, it's 25% of the orders total due up-front (which is also known as your "down payment" or "1st installment"), with the rest of the amount split up across 3 more installments. Each of these are due 2 weeks apart. No interest on pay-in-4, no up-front fees, no hidden fees, provided you pay off your installments on time*. 

This isn't a layaway plan, so the online merchant will fulfill your order within their regular processing & shipping timeframe.

The Sezzle checkout is very straightforward - during checkout select "Sezzle" and you'll be walked through the rest of the process. Easy as that.

To become a Sezzle Shopper, you must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a US or Canadian phone number that can receive texts
• Be able to verify your email address 
• Have a non-prepaid payment method available
  • For shoppers in the US and Canada, this can be a debit card or a credit card

Sezzle does not impact your credit score. They may run a soft credit check (or "soft inquiry") to determine your spending power, but there is no negative impact to your credit score.

*Sezzle does in some cases charge fees for using a debit or credit card to pay off scheduled installments. You can find more information on  convenience fees here. 

**Bank accounts cannot be used to create a Sezzle account, nor to place orders, but can be set as default payment methods for further scheduled installments.

Phthaltes help scents stick around longer. Think of them as tiny scent carriers. This would be a good thing but some types of phthalates have been proven to affect the reproductive systems of test subjects. Thanks, but we'll pass. No phthalates in our fragrances.

Best practices to help you enjoy your new candle to it's fullest.

Place your candle in a safe area

• Ensure your candle is placed on a heat-safe surface, and away from things such as curtains, lamps, books, or any other combustibles. (We aren't looking to cast a fireball spell in this scenario).

Trim the wick

• Before lighting your candle for the 1st time, make sure to trim it to somewhere between 3/16" to 1/4". Wick trimmers are ideal but something like scissors or nail clippers will also get the job done against a wood wick. If it's already been burnt, then remove any carbon build up.

Keep an eye on the flame

• Ideally, wooden wicks should produce a flame somewhere between 1/2" to 1" in height, but it's perfectly normal for them to vary as low as 1/4", to as high as 1 1/2". If it stays at 1 1/2"+ for a prolonged period or starts smoking, then it's time to extinguish the flame. Once safe, trim the wick and light it again. Make sure to check in on your candle frequently to ensure it's burning correctly.

Burn it long enough

• It's of great importance to keep your candle lit until the pool of melted wax reaches (or comes close to) all of the edges of the jar. Expect this process to take somewhere between 2 to 4 hours depending on the candle size. If there is some residual wax left on the sides as it burns down, fear not, it will eventually melt over the next few burns.

• NEVER LEAVE CANDLES UNATTENDED

• KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS

• DO NOT BURN FOR LONGER THAN 4 HOURS AT A TIME

• DO NOT BURN YOUR CANDLE ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM. STOP BURNING WHEN ABOUT 1/2" OF WAX REMAINS AT THE BOTTOM

Each and every candle is made to order, and hand poured specifically for you. Once it's all ready to go (usually within 2 business days), we fulfil the order and you'll get your shipping information via email (tracking included). The carrier will pick it up, and your order will be on it's way from Candlelore to your kingdom.
